I was at Michael's today, demoing, and discovered a new yarn I have never seen. I think it's new - or maybe just new to Michael's. Caron Simply Soft Quick! It's Super Bulky weight (as seen in picture #2) - so its perfect for looming with a single strand on the KK's. I picked up a couple of skeins to give it a try. I love the worsted weight simply soft and this is just as soft. I can't wait to give it a try. I'll report back and let you know...

oooooo, I love Quick. You will get a true measurement when you knit with it (in otherwords, it doesn't shrink as it comes down the looms).
ReplyDeleteI have made a ton of baby stuff with it.
But one word of caution. It is supposed to be no dye lot yarn, I have experised dye changes mid skein. Make sure you get an extra skein or two so that if you run across this you will have enough to finish.

ReplyDeleteThat's good to hear! I haven't tried it yet - but baby things sounds like the perfect use for it. I was thinking a nice soft shawl. It definetly comes in baby-ish colors though...
